Since we aim to be a catalyst and support for environmental protection and sustainable development, we seek to develop a site that will provide information not only about projects we are undertaking directly, but serve as a link to innovative concepts and projects related to sustainable development, environmental protection and eco-tourism. Adventure Armenia Book Released
First book of the Kanach Eco-Adventure Series was launched in November 2004. Adventure Armenia: Hiking and Rock Climbing, the first book of its kind for Armenia, seeks to help adventure tourists take advantage of the wonderful nature and rich cultural experiences that Armenia has to offer. Armenian language version was released in February 2005. For more information, see the Eco-Adventure page.

Building from Waste
As part of a USDA (U.S. Dept. of Agriculture) project a building has been just been constructed in Armenia with what has up to know been a waste product. This building, to be used as a cost effective cold storage facility, has been built primarily of bales of straw. more >>

Campaign for Environmental Awareness
Advocacy

Mission: To address environmental problems in
Armenia in order to build civil society, support public health and protect natural resources

This campaign was inspired by successful media campaigns from the West and the potential to utilize television (and other media) to powerfully reach people throughout Armenia with motivating messages aimed at changing individual behavior and supporting positive institutional changes. It will combine these targeted media messages with concrete “on-the-ground” actions to bring positive change on a range of environmental issues.

This campaign will encourage citizens and the government to more responsibly and sustainably solve a variety of environmental problems together.
